The East Carolina University Division of Health Sciences Sexual and Gender Diversity Committee (SGDC) is an interdisciplinary collaboration of faculty, staff and students who are committed to furthering LGBT health and well-being.

Our three-fold mission is:

To foster a campus climate that is inclusive of and welcoming toward LGBT individuals
To promote information relevant to LGBT health in educational curriculum
To support best practices in LGBT healthcare

The committee is open to all LGBT and ally ECU faculty, staff and students, particularly those on the health sciences campus.
